Witch consoles all sold more than 5 million in Japan? Just to know :).

Probably all except the Microsoft ones.

Nah,  I think from Sega as an example only the Saturn hit more than 5 million (not sure though) and I don't know if N64 and GC sold more than 5 million aswell..

It is nice to know so you can make milestones :).

edit:  the N64 did (almost) 5,4 million in Japan.

I'm pretty sure the Saturn was one of the worse (if not the worst) selling of Sega's consoles.  The Genesis and Master System defiitely sold at least 5M in Japan.

  • MegaDrive: 3,580,000
  • Game Gear: 1,780,000
  • Mega CD: 400,000
  • Sega Saturn: 5,900,000
  • Dreamcast: 2,450,000

...Saturn was by a wide margin Sega's most successful platform in Japan.  I've never seen SG1000 or Mark III (ie: Master System) sales though, but they can't have been much.

Other sub 10m hardware sales...

  • PC Engine: 3,920,000
  • PC Engine CD-ROM2: 1,920,000
  • PC-FX: 400,000
  • Famicom Disc-System: 4,440,000
  • Virtual Boy: 140,000
  • Nintendo 64: 5,540,000
  • GameCube: 4,020,000
  • Neo*Geo: 1,000,000
  • Neo*Geo CD: 25,000 (might not include CD-Z?)
  • Neo*Geo Pocket: 550,000
  • WonderSwan: 3,000,000
  • Xbox: 550,000
  • Xbox 360: 1,280,000+

And what about PS? Curious

I'm sure both PS1 & PS2 surpasses 10mil, but how much?

Ps2 is now still selling slightly above 23 million
PS one did around 19,3-19,5
