Less than 1/100th of 1 perfecnt of ps3 owners used otherOS and the people who do, don;t play games on their ps3. OtherOS is primarily used to run simmulation and brute force calculation like GOV password cracking and protien folding. Lets buy a 600$ games, blueray, pictures music movies and internet machine to run LINUX..yeah great idea.
anyone using the ps3 to learn cell program via linux isn;t using it for games. and Sony reserves the right to protect itself against piracy. It isn;t sony breaking the law here professor, it is george holt or whatever ghis name is. Is it unfortunate? sure, illegal no.
But if its a super big deal, just buy a slim an keep your phat for linu :) Sony wins!!!
