It goes to show the value of reputation in the market. If you have a good reputation and brand you can perform much better than others who don't. Since Apple is on the up and up and are releasing groundbreaking products on all sides they earnt these sales with previous good work on the iPhone and iPod ranges.
Theres no point in complaining about it, its not like Sony got where they did with the PS3 on pure hard work alone. Its also not like Nintendo hasn't benefited from the reputation they have built up with their games in previous generations which they have sustained for over 20 years and its not like a game like Halo hasn't built up an excellent reputation for quality inspite what the naysayers have said.
