This is my thought, so don't take it seriously.
I think while 3rd publishers overall are doing great, it is mainly due to certain titles that bring that average up. Carnival games sold millions, and Just Dance has already exploded with over 2m sales in a rather short amount of time. There are other countless party games and low budget games that are doing incredibly well. While some games are not doing as great, I believe Little King Story was one, correct me if I'm wrong.
Wii has a large audience, but a much more diverse audience than the PS3 or 360. Not everything thrown at the Wii will guranteed success. And not everything will happen as plan.
