Legend11 said: He's basically saying the same thing we've heard many times from third parties. EA, Activision, Ubisoft, and others simply aren't seeing the sales they should be seeing on the Wii considering its marketshare.
At the end of the day it's better for third parties to have Microsoft dominant over both Nintendo and Sony since it takes a smaller share of total game sales when compared to the other two. Nintendo sees third parties as direct competitors while Sony has made it obvious they're working on building first parties at the expense of third parties (reduction in moneyhats, etc). |

Thanks for helping me prove my point. Imagine what that chart would look like if the 360 was the one with an installed base of 69.56 million and the Wii had 39.06 million.

"What ifs" are pointless though:
What if the PS3 started the gen @ $299? Would the 360 have as much 3rd party support as it currently does?
What if the Wii hadn't taken off in the first place? Would it be in the same position it is currently in?
What if the 360 had been the only console on the market for longer than a year? Would the PS3 and Wii have had even stronger launch line-ups to combat with?
Bottomline is, he spouts this stuff like the Wii is doing poorly. It may not have the same 3rd Party strength as the 360, but it's certainly not doing as bad as he's implying.

I agree sorta.
The graph says that 360 fans buy as almost the same amount of games as Wii fans do, and the Wii has double the sales the 360 does.
Does this mean that most Wii owners put the Wii away after a few weeks after use? I just asking questions.

The Wii has somehow managed to sell more software without dependence on any of the blockbuster franchises save for...1 (Monster Hunter 3)
The 360 literally has every big series out there.
