2) Sony hasn't advertised other OS on the PS3 for at least 6 months, ( since the SLIM launch as SLIM doesn't support other OS). At the time they advertised it, the feature existed, now it's not advertised anymore so they have not lied... What you're saying is like crying because you got cable TV because it had some soccer channel you wanted and 6 months later those channels are only on satellite and you are crying afoul, guess what you're never gonna win that argument...
They have lied to those who have other OS. Yes the slim was not adverstised nor did it support other OS, but people who biought the phat may have bought it just for that. If you guys can't understand that, that is fine, most laws( including the US and EU) do so it does not matter. If it is brought to court I have no doubt sony would lose and have to pay restitution to those who ar ein the suit and have a phat ps3. I am not saying they ahev to reintroduce other OS but they do have to compensate those who bought a ps3 for that use, or they have to let them use otherOS
Just for your guys info, I do not own a ps3 or use linux. I am only posting in this thread so pepole(consumers) realsie they have rights, and should hold companies to those rights. They count on you not calling them on their BS to get away with it. Do not let them do it.
