Commercially the term 4D means 3D + smell/feel.  Like Disney's 4D theaters where you get splashed with water or feel bugs crawling on you or smell the food being baked.

no I seen the joke but decided to go along other directions for things after 3d. I was talking about the 4d that sony was going on about when they released the ps3 but nightsurges 4d would a significant improvement to games.

No problemo. Technically you could say that the 4D part is already done as well since you can get a fog machine and stage lights for rocck band.
