Can Sony create a new franchise as big as Gran Turismo?

This is very very difficult to achieve, I'll never say never but it'll be very hard. Besides Nintendo, how many games go on to sell 10 million?

Other non Nintendo franchises as big as GT - Halo, GTA, COD, Madden, Fifa. Even Guitar Hero is not anymore, and Madden and Fifa might not be as big.
