OtherOS was there for developers to program with the Cell, and for personal users to use it for Linux...that's it, not as a gateway into a closed system...Improper use of one user who decides to share it to become "The Hacker who Did It"...sparks many people to try to lead in the same way and branch off from that, regardless if it was a harmless "hack" on his part...

Yes it's his system. He paid the money for it and that makes everything in the PS3 his to do with what he wants. Same goes for anyone else with a PS3. He does share the information, and it would be quite stupid if he didn't. I am sure there are others who would want a way in the system. A hacked PSP has a lot more going for it than jsut free games you know. You can change how things do and operate. Same with a PS3 when it's done probably.
