NEED HELP! with stalker, shadow of Chernobyl

this game is impossible! I just cant seem to work anything out, i never really know whats going on, where to go or what to do, any tips that people found useful while they were playing, or anyone know of some good videos or guides to help me? this would be an enourmous help
