The PC/Mac/Windows/Linux cross platform is a wierd one, cos they're kind of all the same but different at the same time, lol.
Do you mean a doctoral dissertation? As in you write this paper about cross platform video games and you get a PHD? If so, what is your major and where can I sign up?
UK Degree in Games Design and programming. Done a load of 3D modelling, programmed/made some Xbox games, had a module where we all played MMOs and Analysed them (mostly just sat in lecture playing WOW or Unreal Tournament 3), did some modules on games marketting and business and I've chosen to write a 24,000 word report on cross-platform games for my final year, alongside an Xbox game and marketting strategy for some god aweful game the first years thought up.
Fun degree, but gotta be serious about it or I'd get nowehre with it, it's not all just sitting playing and talking about games. Quite funny seeing lecture attendence drop miles near release of big games, MW2 release saw 60% drop in turnout, same with FFXIII. :p
