Terrible analogy. Sony isn't forcing people to turn off their ps3's and computers securities are updated all the time just like Sony just did.

Perhaps then if he had said "disconnect your computer from the internet." As you cannot access PSN without update and removal of the feature. Still not a great analogy but I think it gets his point across.

Regardless, I think it's quite absurd how people are behaving over this, as if they're on some sort of crusade.

@bolded: True. However, when is it that an actual feature is removed as a result of security updates (genuine question, I have no idea... perhaps there is the subtle one here and there)?
