For Three reasons!

1.) Breaking the 5 Million Mark in Japan.

2.) Breaking the 15 Million Mark in Others.

3.) Being plain Awesome when it comes to Hack Prevention, buh bye Other OS!

So you're HAPPY Sony is axing features from your PS3 that you already paid good money for?

Yes i'm extremly happy.

Maybe you should buy a ps3 before you form an opinion of this situation since you arent being effected.

It's a matter of principle to me. Companies should be happy enough that they recieve your business, but to take that one step further and take away features that were once included with the initial investment is not right. If Nintendo for instance withdrew BC or SD card support from the Wii, I'd be very angry at Nintendo.

Consumers already have to worry about if what they are purchasing is worth their hard earned money, but now they have to worry about that value decreasing with features potentially being removed in the future. Not that this removing of other OS is a huge deal by itself, but it does show that companies are willing to do this sort of thing, which makes you wonder, where does the line get drawn?
