I would update, I've been flowing the Ps3 hacking scene since the beginning, and no results.
Geohot is not the first and not the last, there were many people that edited XMB data, even game data, hell I even remember the first one that modded Warhawk package (AFAIK) to show a custom title and a custom image,(sony put a semi-decrypted version on their site, by luck someone guessed the name or smth) than there were others that followed, numerous buffer-overflow attempts(the TIFF exploit that worked on the iphone was tried on the PS3, it just crashed it)
than there was Java homebrew (the one on bluray) it could have been run from a usb stick from a while than sonny patched it... etc.
I know people that still have the 1.6 or 1.8 or even lower firmware versions, they have been keeping them till now just so they could get to piracy.
Hell I even remember the proxy disc, when someone(forgot who) claimed that you can run any game via some hdd-swap and the motorstorm disc (was never made public)
and probably the first ones, the paradox iso loader, and other ones that were named fake.
Either Paradox couldn't do it, or they just don't want to release it,
Remember kids paradox was here before EgoHot, they hacked a lot of consoles, since the amiga days, till the ps2 I think they touched the psp a little, some of their members were busted by the FBI , bah Paradox will be here for the years to come, unlike some others who by luck "hack" (EgoHot actually stole a part of the original iphone hack) than they are not heard from in the scene ever again, and become attention whores.
