I'm sorry, I don't see anyone cheering Sony on. I see people saying Sony is in their legal right to take actions if the please... and they are. The people you say are cheering Sony are just the people who don't give a shit about a useless feature and aren't getting any of their rights trampled or taken away. Sorry to burst your guys bubble but it really is a very very very small minority making a stink about a very legal action. Get over it.
PS - Majority of the ones causing a stink dont even own a ps3. Let the owners worry about the company they are giving their money to. Which... it looks like they don't mind.
