and while this update essentially punishes us, it does make a statement to the devs who support the ps3 and that is that sony will do what they need to, to fight against piracy, even if it involves removing a feature that was one of their selling points (even though it's not supported in the slims) and will make many customers angry.
i don't think that it would be a move that would go unnoticed among the devs who are the ones affected the most by piracy on the consoles.
