I don't use other OS but i do like that it is there because might need it one day. Seriously guys you are not getting anything from this update. you are only losing something whether you care about it or not. Just don't protect Sony on this one because this update is not doing anything to the gamer. It is only removing something that many people use. |
you see there's a difference between saying this is a good thing and defending sony's decision to do this. fact is i find there's way too many ppl hatin' on sony for this when geohot is the douche who backed them into a corner.
first off, no they don't need me protecting them, they got millions spent on lawyers to make sure their ToS is bulletproof (well almost bulletproof anyway) in order to protect their asses when things like this happen. the point we're just trying to get across is that sony is not the bad guy in all this, that's what the discussion is about afterall. (well this thread is more about compensating us which they should do because companies always do stuff to keep customers happy even when they're wrong, and the fact that they're not giving us anything leads me to believe its an april fool's joke, but anyway)
secondly, i'm w/ you about not getting anything from this. for sure it sucks, but hey, life often sucks. I dun use other os, but one day i might, i'd like to have it. i think we'd all agree on that... although i have to agree w/ you that there are some ppl here w/ their heads up their butts who say, "dun use it. dun need it." and first, can't see that it affects other fellow gamers who do use it and second, are totally ignorant to the fact that it's a feature that could potentially benefit them for unknown reasons in the future.
and so while i'm not happy about it, i understand sony's decision to do this, and i think you should to. they are legally correct in doing this, and sure, they made a pretty big mistake in adding a feature that attracts hackers like shit attracts flies, but they sure as heck dun need to swallow this pill, so now that their hand got forced (thanks geohot, i appreciate it), they've decided to pull the plug.
