You have to get used to the controls to enjoy it. I don't know how, but once I tried multiplayer, I loved the controls. Now, with BFBC2 and MW2 out, it feels so slow and weird.
I recommend getting it though, you will enjoy it. There are a few people online now, around the size of how many people are on Uncharted 2 [Around 8k].
