With sales vehicles like Steam which don't charge for publishing and printing a company like Valve makes far more money on their PC versions than their console versions of games. PC FPS sales are also great for great games like Bioshock, Orange Box Etc. The Problem is UT3 simply isn't that great a game. As far as FPSes not hitting their peak on consoles... well I'm inclined to agree, but that doesn't make it the future of the genre. Especially not with games like Crysis and Far Cry 2 making huge technology breakthroughs that simply won't be possible on current gen consoles.
