What exactly is wrong with the PS3 browser? In my opinion that Greenberg guy just says that it's crap but I don't see any real arguments why.

When I am over at a friend of mine we use the PS3 browser quite often and I find it really handy. He has a TV and a PS3 in his living room where we usually stay, but no PC. His PC is where his bedroom is - one floor upstairs. Before we used the PS3 browser, whenever we wanted to look something up on the internet we had to go upstairs, turn his PC on etc.

It's way more comfortable since we started using the PS3 browser instead.
We didn't have to drill any holes or lay long cables to get the PS3 connected since it has builtin WiFi.
His PS3 is connected to a Full HD TV via HDMI, and since the PS3 browser runs in true Full HD resolution the picture quality is fantastic - it's just like using a giant flatscreen monitor with 1920x1080 pixels resolution. Even his PC monitor doesn't have such a high resolution.
What I can understand is that people do not want to browse the web with a gamepad. Not having a proper keyboard and mouse really is very uncomfortable. But since you can use any standard bluetooth/USB keyboard/mouse on your PS3, you can easily have the same comfort like you're sitting in front of a PC. My friend paired his Bluetooth Keyboard/Mouse combo with his PS3, it was totally easy and within seconds we had a working wireless keyboard and mouse.

To sum it up, if you've got the right stuff it's pretty much just like web browsing on a PC with a huuuge monitor. I suppose the PS3 browser is missing a few features that are standard for present day web browsers, but that was never a problem so far. We don't use the PS3 for browsing the web for hours, we usually just use it to quickly look something up on Google or Wikipedia or to watch a video on YouTube etc., and for all that the PS3 browser was absolutely sufficient so far.

I think that Microsoft guy just bashes the PS3 browser to downplay the fact that it's a feature the Xbox 360 simply doesn't have. The PS3 browser may not be perfect, but I definitely prefer an imperfect web browser over having no web browser at all!
