I think its usually 10-12 years. Maybe there was some weird circumstances... 

I think it should be more than that...there are few crimes more serious...

Ok I just looked up sentences for rape. The maximum sentence is life imprisonment. The average sentence is 4 years in jail.

good behaviour its called, sadly its true. aparantly a rapist can behave well and thus be released into society earlier
