A company breaks an obscure, little known consumer law which no one is going to bother challenging in court because it would cost waaaaayyyyy more than its worth just to try to prove a point; and in all likelihood the challenge would fail under the weight of the number of lawyers Sony would throw at the complainant
That's never happened before.
Shit if companies are willing to break safety laws that can lead to people's deaths then doing this doesn't even rate as a corporate misdeed.
