No it isn't. Removing Linux won't stop any hacks. It takes away a feature from those who paid for it.

You yourself mentioned it being a "tool" or a "door" that some geonerd made. Maybe it's not the only way to hack, but it's the easiest...and i'm sure that once someone hacks it, steps on a "How to" will be storming google, and it will be PSP all over again...so i repeat : It's only common sense from sony to take steps against piracy.

 

You do realize that the guy who did it is also going to address this issue. It has always been that a Company vs Small Group/Individual the individual or small group always win when it comes to security. Always.
