Britian has basically decided (and I agree) that the wars of the future will be against third world countries, nothing like WW2 with a lot of tanks against tanks. If that is correct, then this could work very well against these RPG's.
Also, the tank would have to come with some onerous modifications to keep the soldiers from electrocuting themselves, or more likely, the soldiers will have to wear full rubber suits or whatever to avoid that. So, it's not going to be a perfect technology but it will really help out overall.
