These excusers are just pathetic. It doesn't matter if this isn't a unique case. Sony hyped their system as the best.

Therefore, they look like liars if they don't tell us when something is rendered or touched up. According to their very own claims, games on the PS3 should never need those things. The fact that they do makes them, again, look like liars.
Trying to excuse it with lines about people somehow just hating Sony, or pointing out this is a common practice (although I don't really see them call on other games for it, just excuse their side's games with it), won't change the fact that this looks bad for Sony.
Not that it IS bad for Sony to do this, but that is does hurt their reputation, whether you like it or not.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
