yeah, i think the advantages of 2D to 3D is much more pronounced then the move from SD to HD. plus there is a lot of hype around it, more then i remember for HD anyways.
...personally i'm waiting for sony to release their 3D upgrade for the ps3. i generally don't like being too early of an early adapter but if sony bring a lot of content i may motivate myself to buy a new tv. just kind of suck cause i just bought an HD tv 2 years ago. :/
