I know why the ending of God of War 2 was so frustratingly awful!

I finished GoW II not too long ago and while I did die around 7-8 times doing that sequence, it's not as bad as you describe it.

For me it was just a matter of knowing when the next button was going to pop up and being alert to hit it in time.
