Actually, on this subject, there's an old NES game that I used to LOVE as a kid, but I don't remember the title, or much about it. It felt Kid Icarus-ish (but with shorter sprites) since you could jump up to get to other parts of the dungeon. And you start outside, on the right of the screen, walk left, and fall into a dungeon. That's Legacy of the Wizard, one of the games I recommended before. Google up some more images of it if you remember more of the game.

THIS IS IT!!!!!! Oh man, this was my favorite game when I was a kid, but for whatever reason I could NEVER remember the title. There was this one room with the dragon in the middle of the blocks that I NEVER forgot though. I just got to that room =)
