Don't spin this as being positive CGI, it isn't.  The other OS feature I'm pretty sure will have zero memory imprint once the PS3 has booted into its gaming configuration.  This is no foundation, its simply protecting their security.  I agree its perhaps wrong to lambast Sony for doing this but then again had they not come out less than a month ago and guaranteed they would not disable the feature perhaps they wouldn't have got so many people annoyed and opinionated. 

There is too many people on this site defending Sony over this instead of just accepting what they're doing is wrong.  You don't promise one thing then deliver another.  What feature would it take for them to remove before you accept this constant removal of features is not acceptable?

Had Microsoft done this then I would have criticized them too, funnily enough like many people did when they were forced to upgrade to NXE from the blades dash.

How is it spin when I didn't give an opinion of my own? Like you, I don't fully know why they would take out the feature, but fear of hackers, I'd imagine, is the reason.

If that's the case, how is this a bad thing? Why the Hell would they want someone stealing shit from them. You say that they're protecting their security. Why the Hell wouldn't/shouldn't they?

Can you actually sit there and try to tell me that a whole nation of people will be upset over this? The majority of PS3 owners probably don't even know that the feature is there, or how to use it.

Why don't you take a shot at the hackers that are fucking shit up. Don't freaking get on my case for asking questions.

The point stands some people want this feature, they were told it was not going to be removed, it is now going to be.  No matter the reason, its terrible customer service and people have a right to criticize them. Note I said criticize, not hate or fling childish insults.

Just so we're on the same page, the hack that makes use of this feature does absolutely nothing other than open dorrways to other angles of attack, its useless from a pirating perspective and has limited usefulllness for homebrew and the PS3 scene is so dead it probably never will be anymore than that either.  I never quoted any amount of users who would be upset by this, it doesn't matter if you upset 1% of people or 100% its still bad.
