I have no doubt its way higher than it ought to be. Just pointing out that its not as bad as you pictured it in your first post. I did not realize MS had released that figure. I'm suprised they would give themselves that much bad PR.
EDIT: Just did a search MS has never admited to a more than 5% Failure rate. the 30 percent number comes from retailer reports.
