i use linux every day but never install it on my ps3 so this is a non issue for me... but i blame geogot or what ever is his name... sony its doing what is supposed to do (protect their interests and keep piracy(witch is illegal) to the minimum)... if he was thinking that he was freeing the world from straps he is wrong... he did more damage than good... now what comes to mind is... could sony address this issue in different matters? could they keep the "other OS" and keep pirates out at the same time? my guess its no for both questions... hdd filesystem can't be changed without one BIG possibility of data loss... that would piss people a LOT more than disabling a interesting but not vital feature...
