Measure the action of magnetic fields?? It sounds like that was a typo for electromagnetic fields, which (considering that the PSeye cannot pick up radio, xray, gamma ray, microwave etc) means light. No, magnetic fields is right.
Recently people have been using magnetic fields with accelerometers and other inertial sensors to produce 3D orientation vectors, before you go bust somebody's chops, do research yourself, and stop trying to sound smart yourself explaining electromagnetic fields and light.....
Not to mention, the above mentioned waves are also electromagnetic.... (radio, microwave, etc)
If you are goin to try to sound technical, do it right.
