Who's the worst character ever

I would nominate Diddy Kong, though i'll second the guy who nominated Cole Train.

Haha, Knuckles wasn't as bad as the rest of them, but he started the ball rolling for for Sonic teams policy of adding loads of pointless characters into their games (some would argue tails too, but he was there from the start so I'll let him off).  Because people seemed to like Knuckles, they kept on adding more characters, trying to emulate this success.  This set of a chain reaction that looks something like this:

 

Knuckles------>Amy and Big the Cat------->Rouge and Shadow-------->The series goes into total meltdown, culminating the Werehog!!! Thus making Sonic into his own sidekick!!

 

Therefore it is Knuckles' fault that the Sonic games suck ass nowadays!!  Damn that little rodent!!!
