I have mixed feelings about the Resistance series. They're not bad, but they don't really stand out in my eyes. I liked getting all the background information in the first game with the narrator and files, but I could care less about many of the characters and I find Hale to be rather uninteresting.
I wonder how they'll be improving the game engine. I remember there was the talk from the one employee about taking the frame rate back to 30fps instead of their 60fps target. While the 60fps gives their games that very nice smooth feeling, I suppose if they can really ratchet up the enemies, grahpics, ect at a constant 30fps then that'll be okay.
