shenmue was more artsy, contemplative, and mysterious. One would lose time just feeding cats or talking to weird people without purpose. Yakuza has evolved towards a more open-ended world but you still feel the story is predictable.

It's like comparing David Lynch with John Woo
With david lynch/ shenmue you wondered what is it that i am seeing doing
With John Woo/ yakuza you know what's going on and all you care about is going at it with a bang

You can do that on Yakuza you know?

plus the story is NOT predictable at all, you haven't played it right?

seems you haven't played any of them lol

yeah , i only played Yakuza 1 , Yakuza 2 , Yakuza 3 , Shenmue 1 , and Shenmue 2.

i didn't play any of them lol
