Skies of Arcadia was re-released for Gamecube (also playable on the Wii) and is considered a better version (less random battles).
I played Grandia 1 with an emulator (using PS1 disc) and I loved it. With an emulator I had the ability to save anywhere since it saves the memory dump and this allowed me freedom to play just 10-20 minutes at a time. I was hoping Sony would have something similar for PS3 but that is not the case. Even then it is a great game.
