Well, I can understand your view.
I think Motion Controls are fine for what they offer but as ever too many people see (or at least post) as if things are black and white - for example motion controls make everything better, or they are 100% terrible.
I have a Wii and enjoy playing it. I've never found the controls to be as good as I'd like - i.e. they are an approximation rather than an accurate recreation. For example playing table tennis on Wii doesn't actually feel right if you've played a reasonable amount of table tennis for real, and so on.
But the concept is fun and where the Wii does well for me is Wii Sports Resort, etc. where it's just fun playing with your kids and moving around.
However, the number of true, good motion control games on Wii is tiny so far, and in my view right now motion controls haven't shown any ability to improve existing schemes for most of the popular genres.
Natal I'm interested in as well but I feel the "no controller" angle is quite flawed for games right now. Of course MS can easily go back on this, in a sense both Natal and Move are examples of MS and Sony going back on statements made around Wii at launch - but that's business. Thing's change and companies change with them.
Move I think could offer the best of both if Sony pull of the tech correctly. I think it's combination of controllers plus camera is the best mix for gaming, but of course they will need to have the skill and creativity to produce the games to exploit this.
As for hypocrisy of fans... well, that's a sad given I think we all have to try and ignore it when it goes too far - or reach for a mod. Anything that succeeds will be both copied or emulated as others angle for a slice of the pie. Once the Wii was successful it was inevitable that Sony and MS would change their tune.
The Xbox and 360 exist because the PS1/PS2 were so successful. PSN exists because Live was successful, Halo exists because Doom and Half Life were so successful, Lips exists because Singstar was successful... and so on.
I think people should remain objective to market realities and also should be open to at least giving new approaches, like Motion Controls, a try.
But nobody should feel they have to like Motion Controls. They don't an I can understand how for some they simply don't feel right.
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
