The second I saw that award show last year, I stopped calling myself a gamer when talking to people who don't play games... I was proud in the old days... Atari, NES, Super NES vs Genesis... But now Spike makes the whole video gaming thing look like a huge joke. As someone who has played games for a bit over 20 years, I'm officially ashamed.
Though I would support an official industry award kind of thing, like the Oscars or something... You know, a PROFESSIONAL show. From and for people who care about video games and what they are supposed to be.
