I'm gonna be the oddball out and use a broader decimal system, as a 1 to 5 scale is too limitative.
Final Fantasy - 2.5 (It was a good game, but at that time, Dragon Quest was much better)
Final Fantasy II - 3.2 (I loved the implementation of the "Learn by doing" system)
Final Fantasy III - 2.0 (As generic as a JRPG can get, probably the only good thing that came out of it was the implementation of a broader job system)
Final Fantasy IV - 4.8 (Major surprise for me when I played it, since the first FF's where pretty much bland. It did almost everything right and this is when FF started to stand out for itself, IMO)
Final Fantasy V - 4.2 (A bit of a letdown in comparison to IV, since it had a somewhat generic story, with few surprises and a obvious plot. It was saved with the best Job system ever implemented on a FF game though. Plus it still houses the toughest battle I've ever had on a FF game, Omega Weapon on The Void)
Final Fantasy VI - 5.0 (What can I say that hasn't been said already? Being one of the few video games in which the Villain actually does something right, it gets major props for that alone xD. Plus it has the Opera Scene, one of the best cutscenes ever made, heck, one of the best moments on any entertainement medium)
Final Fantasy VII - 4.5 (The most expansive universe ever created on a FF game, but what really distinguished it was the Materia system. Until FFXIII, it was my favourite battle system in any FF game)
Final Fantasy VIII - 3.9 (An okay story with a few memorable moments and the best OST in the series. The battle system was a big letdown to me, which made for quite a boring experience, between story clips, saved only by the best minigame ever created, Triple Triad. Seriously, I have more TT time than proper game time :P)
Final Fantasy IX - 4.0 (A good story which was put to light with some proper use of really great characters which meld into a great mix. Back to the roots with it's battle system, which was a good trip down memory lane)
Final Fantasy X - 3.5 (I know i'm going to get so flamed by this, but what really shone down for me was the utter predictable story, with the only actual good part being the Plot twist at Zanarkand. Battle system could have been much better, had the fights been a bit harder to fit the paused flow of the battles. It gets some points for being the FF with most Post-game things to do)
Final Fantasy XII - 4.9 (It almost came close to the perfection of FFVI, mainly due to it's story alone. It had an awesome battle system which required a good amount of strategy if you had the guts to disregard the Gambit system completely, great post-game experience which can rival the length of the entire game itself. Even the forgetable characters, like Vaan and Penelo, were counterbalanced by some of the best characters ever in a FF game, Balthier and Basch)
Final Fantasy XIII - 4.1 (Very character-driven story, which is somewhat it's downfall, since it failed to capitalize on the potential of Cocoon/Pulse history, which could have made for a much more expansive universe. Best battle system in any Final Fantasy game, especially when you get to later chapters or do the post-game contents, as it offers no rooms for mistakes)
Final Fantasy Dissida - 5.0 (Yes, the experience I've had with Dissidia was the very best portable game experience so far, for me. It demanded skill, concentration and dedication from you, especially on the later boards and final Duel Collosseums)
Final Fantasy X-2 - 3.8 (Pretty much the same experience that I had with FFX, except for the battle system being a bit better balanced. Dressphere incorporation was good, but what really shone for me was the Via Infinito)
Final Fantasy Mystic Quest - 2.1 (Generic RPG experience with the good point being the incorporation of Real Time Action events with the weapons on the world screen, for puzzles and whatnot)
Final Fantasy Tactics - 4.8 (Probably one of the best Turn Based Strategy RPG's i've ever played, with a pretty solid story and an Insanely hard final boss battle, as it should always be)
If I had to do an average of my FF experience, then it is 3.7
