Hmm... somewhere around 2014, after Square Enix went bankrupt after getting harshly reviewed by Destructoid too many times, the Japan game market collapsed, and the only jrpgs left were Pokemon clones and anime tie-ins.
Don't get me started on WRPGs. They all went downhill after Dragon Age, let me tell you.
