The second one died 6months later in December so about twice the length of the warenty but less than a 3rd the time I had the first one it had it also had a fan that sounded like a jet engine so it was rather anoying cost to me again 162.41. This last one lasted 92days. The warenty is oficially 90 days but I sent and email and it looks like Sony will cover it unless they find any of the following :
considering I've done none of those I should be fine. The ps3 was on a coffee table in from of the tv well pleanty of room for ventilation. I would make sure that dust and hair wouldn't cover up the vents. Which wasn't too hard because there never really was ever much. I almost wish I was doing something wrong so I could then stop doing it and have things be fine. Anyone else have problems this bad? These all have been the 60gb version so the problem could be in the model yet I hear so many say that they have never had any problems with theirs. I"m going to get this one fixed if Sony will cover the cost but if not I'm not sure. I've already spent $344.82 just on getting the system fixed. Another 162.42 would put that over $500. Should I just go for a slim? I have a slim ps2 that works fine (last I checked anyway it's been a few years) So I don't need it for the bc although it's nice to not have to have so many systems in a living room plus. I just want to get back to playing some games :( :( |
Sony rips off the serial number and punches the PS3 a couple times and says you do it so that you pay for it...
