In my opinion, in order for the PSP2 to be a successful device Sony has to decide what its primary purpose is, make it excel at that, and then add the other features to it. If their focus is on gaming the PSP2 may have a 3D display, if it is a media device that would be less likely because it doesn’t really have much of a point.

ALSO, to anyone commenting here, keep in mind that I wrote this before the rumor mill started with the whole Sharp's Parallax Barrier Technology. As it stands, I don't think Sony will have 3D. As Squirrel said, they really need to knuckle down and figure out what they want to do. Both markets are good markets to be in, but have really steep competition. I mean, it's either Nintendo or Apple. THat sucks, TBH. An expandable OLED would be sweet, though, and I think some kind of reading application would be helpful too. Other than that, they really need to re-evaluate what they want to do. Holograms would be so cash.........ok I'm really getting carried away now. I'm just going to stop.

For what I know, Sharp parallax barrier doesnt exist in those small size. Also, it doesnt give the same result you get with glasses or phillips tech. It add sense of depth but only very lightly out of screen effect. Never saw it in person tho, it may be better then it was before, and they may have very small display. If it is working like it should, its a day 1 for me, ill take that anytime before a PSP2.
