Hmmm ok so a MGS4 vs Gears 2 graphics argument eh?

Because there are so many damn sites and critics out there, I'll just take the example of IGN here.

MGS4
US - Graphics score: 10
UK - Graphics score: 10
AU - Graphics score: 10

Gears 2
US - Graphics score: 9.5
UK - Graphics score: 10
AU - Graphics score: 9.5

Hmmm ok so there's a minor difference in scores but as you can see MGS4 has better rating. Oh so if you think MGS4 doesn't have better graphics than Gear 2 then omg we must be all blind and stupidly biased.

Oh and guess who won OVERALL BEST GRAPHICS TECHNOLOGY both picked by the Critics and Readers Choice back in 2008?

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots

"To say that there was a lot of hype for Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots would be an understatement. Since the game's announcement, PlayStation 3 owners had been touting the title's stealth-action gameplay as a surefire game of the year component and Konami was promising to tie up every one of the series' multiple loose ends. Still, what undoubtedly impressed fans when they first booted up the game in June was how damn good this thing looked. Your opening mission moves from a dust and sand-laden cinema to dust and sand-laden environment. Snake's new sneaking suit looked slick, the maps were detailed, and Naomi's blouse was (thankfully) devoid of buttons. Throughout Metal Gear's time in the disc drive, gamers were treated to a land of visual delights."

So there you have it. Usually I don't think getting into debates like this but because we're talking MGS4, my favourite game ever, I shall step in and share my thoughts.
