I think that over the last year and a half the PlayStation 3 has really started to get a ton of respect.

It's affordable for one thing, which has enticed over 12 million new PS3 units to be sold since September 2009.

Which such a massive uptick in sales, many people who are on the fence have gotten one and I think really impressed with what it can do. They show it off to their friends and family. They get excited for it. They go and buy one.

If Sony could fix the suppy problems, the sales for the platform would be much higher than they are, but it's not like a platform being "sold out" causes people to lose interest in that system. It actually raises peoples interest.

Because it's a hot item.
