Reaonable, having a "decent" grip on it is different than fully understanding it. The movie is just too bizarre and abstract to fully understand exactly what Lynch was doing but "having a good idea of where he was going with it", yeah, I can get behind that.

I'm also a Lynch fan as well as Cronenberg and several other "weird" directors.

Then you have excellent taste, sir.  And I salute you.  No wonder I tend to agree with your posts.

'Gotta ask - what's your view on Fire Walk With Me?  That one seems to divide even the Lynch fans.

I really need to watch it again. It's been years since I've seen it and I wanted to watch Twin Peaks again a few years back but just became too busy. You know what? I bet I could totally convince the girl to watch that with me. Once I finish that series up, I wanted to watch Fire Walk again to see if I "get it" this time. First time around, it just didn't do anything for me. Then again, I was like 17 at the time.

OT: Check out The City of Lost Children. It's a French film from about 10-12 years ago that is just pure awesome in its weirdness.
