If you really want to gain weight, workout and take protein supplements. I was 140 pounds. 6 ft, 21 years old, and only 140 lbs. I started working out in December with weight lifting 3-4 times a week and protein shakes. I now weigh 157 lbs and am gaining a pound or 2 a week almost. I'm going to keep working out until I weigh about 170 then shift from weight lifting to mostly cardio, running, maintaining my strength level so I don't gain anymore weight and become even more in shape/healthy.
Trust me, when you are blessed (or cursed) with such a high metabolism that you are underweight like I was, weight lifting is all you can do.
