Given that there are forums like TouchArcade and PHandroid that are as large, or larger than VGC, I would say 'yes'.

I never said that Nintendo would give up making hardware. I just said that it would pass the rubicon from being a dedicated gaming platform, and instead have more features like a Smartphone. For example, Nintendo could easily release a Nintendo DS-style phone running on the AndroidOS with a Nintendo Market on it for their gaming titles. At that point, I think we'd have a device that was certainly bluring the lines between what Nintendo is now (souly hardware and software) and becoming more services-oriented through a market system.
