High-five to Google?

They cooperated with the Chinese government in censoring Google for the Chinese market. Now that they got some problems of their own (getting hacked allegedly by Chinese hackers) they want to pull out. They're not doing it for the Chinese people.

I say fuck Google and fuck the Chinese government. They're both acting solely in their own interest here.

 

Well, obviously. Why would they fight a battle solely for the citizens of China? That's pointless. They are acting in their own interests, and their interests result in awesome-ness. 

I didn't say they could do it solely for them. But if they actually followed their "do no evil" BS they wouldn't have helped censorship in the first place.

I wouldn't high-five them for now getting out for selfish reasons.
