I wish I had seen this thread before posting in the Tretton thread.
I don't feel like copying and pasting that to bring it here.
But I will say that it's hard to confirm whether or not Sony was or wasn't inspired by Nintendo.
I mean Sony was already messing around with motion control 8 or 9 years ago. EyeToy was Sony's motion control device of the previous generation and I really thought that the PlayStation Eye was going to follow suit, but Sony never did anything with it really.
But now they are. The device we're seeing now (called the Move) looks very similar to Sony's early attempts with the EyeToy. So I don't know.
But I voted no.
