Ahh, sorry. In any case the technology is usually fine, its the implementation which is often off for Microsoft technology. The software behind say Natal is pretty much excellent but the question as always is will they screw it up in implementing the interface. |
I would love to see Move and Natal be successes, because I think Nintendo has become complacent.
More competition will improve the state of motion control.
Me personally I think Sony has a better shot at giving Nintendo competition, because they will be fighting it out directly at Nintendo. Of course Microsoft could surprise and end up running away with motion control.
But I stand behind my statement that PlayStation Move will be more successful. My reason, Sony is backing Move. The device is better built and will take away many, many exclusives the platform once had. Because it will be easier for companies to port things over.
Plus Sony's track record for taking risks (Heavy Rain, LittleBigPlanet, MotorStorm, Heavenly Sword, WarHawk, MAG, Eye of Judgement) I think we will see Sony really pushing the limits of this technology pretty early in it's life.
Both Sony and Mircosoft are going to be aggressive, but Sony already has an advantage. It's a similar input device to the Wiimote. That already gives countless companies something to rest easy on. At least from the first 5 to 7 months. After that, I will personally promise that Sony will be raising the bar. Just like they did with Uncharted. Just like they did with LittleBigPlanet. Demon's Souls. Uncharted 2. MAG. Heavy Rain. God of War III. Gran Turismo 5.
